The 11th of July is observed as World Population Day. There are 7.9 billion of us on this planet! More population, more mouths to feed. More mouths to feed, loss of vegetation, and forest cover. Loss of these precious natural resources leads to the loss of biodiversity, famine, and malnutrition. It is quite imperative to follow family planning to sustain not only humans but also other species of animals and birds. 'To leave no one behind, count everyone' is the theme of this year’s World Population Day. Isn't it apt?
