Gone are the days when people would wait for a friendly postman to deliver letters from loved ones. Along with the letters, people would also collect stamps and make philately one of their hobbies! Post offices are like bee hives throbbing with activities all through the year. The onus to deliver the letters were on the humble postman, who would either walk or pedal on his cycle to the remotest village to deliver the precious letters. With the advent of cell phones, letter writing is a thing of the past.
This generation is at a loss as there's no personal touch in the letters written or sent. The joy of holding a pen or a pencil and expressing their thoughts on the paper seems distant. Let us start to write letters, at least for keep sake. Let us salute these relentless postman for the services he/she has or is rendering even to this day. Have you visited a post office yet?
