Due to the relentless effort of our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi ji, the United Nations declared the 21st of June as International Yoga Day. Yoga has been in practice in our country from time immemorial. The world just sat up and took notice of the benefits Yoga offers. There's no age limit, no gender bias, as anyone can get hooked to yoga for both physical and mental well-being. It is a holistic approach that strikes a balance between mental and physical fitness! It is significant to note that the 21st of June marks more light and the longest day in the northern hemisphere. Hence, this date was chosen. YOGA FOR SELF AND SOCIETY is the theme for this year.
