From time immemorial,  India is known for growing and trading exceptionally good herbs and spices. In fact, it was known as the spice route, as it did traverse to different parts of the world! As the trade continues; herbs and spices are used in food, medicine, perfumes, soaps, etc. One can grow these herbs in a kitchen garden as well. For instance, the Tulsi plant adorns every household. It is known to ward off insects and purify the air. Herbs and spices are grown from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Kashmir saffron is famous the world over as it is used to enhance the taste of sweets, curries, and rice. It is quite refreshing to drink a hot cup of herbal tea in the monsoon. Are you ready?
