Today's a special day as it is 'No Shadow Day.' Between 12:17-12:23 PM, all vertical objects like electric poles, trees and even humans will not cast a shadow!
It's interesting to note that if a pole or any vertical object is made to stand outdoors, during the above mentioned time, the shadow will reduce and vanish only to reappear on the other side. Exciting, isn't it?
This phenomenon is observed by all the places lying between the tropic of cancer and the tropic of capricorn at different times and dates, depending on their latitude.
Let's keep our scientific temper aflame and encourage our children to go out and observe this rate phenomenon called THE ZERO SHADOW DAY.
