The 21st of April is dedicated to all the civil servants in our country who are serving our country in one way or the other. This is the day to applaud their exemplary service to the betterment of our society!
Today, all the service men and women come together and share their experiences and learn from them. This dates back to British rule, where there were a lot of officers who were appointed to serve the public. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the first home minister of independent India, addresses all the civil servants at Metcalf House, New Delhi. He addressed all the civil servants as the steel frame of India.
Hence, the good and admiration for the civil servants continue unwanted to even to this day as it is one of the most coveted posts in our country.
