Another new date and the beginning of April. Well, the 1st week of April is dedicated to all the visually challenged people in the world. There may be various reasons for people to go blind. For instance; by birth, accidents, or disorders. But, life doesn't stop for these people. In fact, they can see the world through their inner eye! There are many gadgets that help visually challenged people manoeuvre deftly in crowded places and just go about doing their daily chores! It's simply amazing to see them walk with confidence.
Eyes are our windows to the world and we must make sure they're maintained well. In our country, eye injuries are rampant during Deepavali due to the fire crackers bursting in their hands. In spite of awareness, these accidents can't be mitigated.
Another dismay for any parent now is the over-use of cell phones, thanks to the Pandemic. There are many ways to wean children away from this addiction. Outdoor activities must be planned during vacations and weekends.
Let us help families and our children to protect the precious gift; those are eyes.
