On the occasion of Eiffel Tower Day, let's know some interesting facts about this well known and the most visited monument of Paris.

The  industrial and technological marvel during the French Revolution saw the Eiffel Tower standing tall in the skyline of Paris. It was the tallest building of its time and the iron silhouette traveled across the globe as one of the 7 wonders of the world! The Tower was iconic and synonymous with Paris, the city of lights! One gets to reach the first level of this Tower and you get to see the breathtaking vista of beautiful Paris, especially in the evening, as the city comes alive with a myriad of twinkling neon lights coming to life.. It still remains one of the favourite places to see on the bucket list of an avid globe trotter, that garners over 7 million tourists every year.

The iron that was used to build the Eiffel underwent a process called puddling where the excess carbon was removed from the iron. The result was pure iron that was the best and robust. The brain behind this monument goes to Gustave Eiffel and the time taken to build this icon was 2 years, 2 months and 5 days!

Today also marks the end of fasting in the holy month of Ramadan. Here's wishing everyone 'Eid Mubarak.'
