Today is the most relevant to all the outstanding women, sung and unsung, who did or are doing commendable things! Some enter the pages of history, but some get shoved under the carpet. We have hundreds of home-grown women as inspiration to look for. Right from the battles that Rani Chennamma or Laxmi Bai dared the British to Smt. Draupadi Murmu, our lady president, heading one of the largest democracies in the world! Take any field, for instance, athletes, medicine, science, engineering, aviation, our defense forces, women are carving a niche for themselves. Today's woman is more well educated and courageous, can express her thoughts without fear, juggle between home, and work with equal ease. She has made a mark in some paths that are not well-trodden hitherto. Our government has an inclusive policy as we there are many women representatives from the grassroots level in village Panchayats to the Parliament!
