Our country India  celebrates the 28th of February as 'Science Day,' to commemorate one of our eminent scientists Sir C.V.Raman. He was the first Asian to win the coveted Nobel Prize for Physics for Raman Effect in the year 1930. Added to this, the National Council For Science and Technology Communication asked the government of India to designate the 28th of February to the field of science. This year's theme is to empower our youth in global leadership in science and innovation for Viksit Bharath. In the year 1930, the then viceroy of India; Lord Irwin, conferred knighthood on C.V. Raman and hence he was called Sir C.V. Raman.
At Sophia Group Of Institutions, all our learners are well aware of today's significance, and our boards are awash with colorful science charts and pictures of this great scientist! Let us stir the scientific temper in us and contribute immensely towards science! HAPPY SCIENCE DAY.
