Today is quite a significant day in the history of our great nation as we adopted the TRI COLOR as our National Flag! Precisely on the 22nd of January 1947, our tri color was adopted by the constituent assembly. It is symbolic as it signifies all that our great country stands for; UNITY, INTEGRITY, AND SOVEREIGNITY. Our national flag is known as TIRANGA. There are three horizontal stripes with equal width, Ashoka Chakra, which has 24 spokes in the middle.
The first color Saffron represents sacrifice and courage, the second white represents peace and truth, and lastly, the green, which is at the bottom, represents growth and auspicious- ness. The blue Ashoka Chakra denotes the eternal wheel of law and represents continuous progress.
