Today's the last day of Deepavali festivities is celebrated as BALIPADYAMI. It is understood that Lord Vishnu took the form of a dwarf and defeated King Bali. As the king was an ardent follower of Lord Vishnu, he was granted a boon that he could visit the earth only on this day to be with his people. That's the reason people burst crackers in joy to welcome their king on this day. This also tells us the fact that God will never let down His devotees, come what may. The lighting of the Diyas and bursting of the crackers comes to an end today. Let us pray to the Almighty to lead us in the right direction. Happy Deepavali once again!
