The festivities are coming to a close. Hundreds of Ganesha idols are ready for the 'Visarjan' or to be immersed. Are we conscious about playing our role in maintaining the ecosystem? Are we immersing the idols in the designated tanks? Or better still, in a bucket at our homes? Are we aware that disposing of the so-called 'Pooja Materials' randomly in water bodies affects marine life? And, are the idols made of clay? Let us adhere to all the rules and regulations for a safe festival. Being eco-warriors right from a young age is quite significant, and this is our effort to keep our surroundings and the diminishing water bodies tidy as well. A small step in keeping our environment clean will go a long way.
