Today is an auspicious day in the Hindu calendar. Mother Gowri is welcomed at most of the homes in South India as She's the Divine Mother of Lord Ganesha. Mango leaves are festooned on the front door, vibrant 'Rangoli' is drawn, and an elaborate Pooja is held with their near and dear ones. Highly delectable cuisines are dished out for everyone to savor! Festivals are a great time for families to come together! Our younger generation ought to be exposed to and involved in all the festivities as it is quite necessary for them to understand our rich culture. Let us invoke Mother Gowri and be bestowed with Her blessings. St. Sophia Convent High School's management wishes everyone a VERY HAPPY GOWRI FESTIVAL.
